Ananui ("the app") is published by Anima Sound Productions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 04671435, whose registered office is at Derringstone House, Derringstone Street, Barham, Canterbury, Kent, CT4 6QB.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We collect the minimum needed to run a music app: your account details, what you listen to, and a device token so we can send you notifications you have asked for.
We do not show third-party advertising. We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.
Account information When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you provide one, a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an account identifier and the email address you choose to share, including a private relay address if you use Sign in with Apple's hide-my-email option. We also record your country and language so we can show the right prices and send notifications at a sensible hour.
Listening activity We record which tracks and sessions you play, when, how long you listened, and whether you finished. We also store your favourites and, if you subscribe, which tracks you have downloaded. This tells the artist which music people actually listen to. It is the reason the app exists.
Notification token If you allow notifications, your device gives us a push token so we can deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Subscription status If you subscribe, Apple or Google process the payment. We never see or store your card details. We receive your subscription status, plan and renewal state through our subscription provider so the app knows what to unlock.
How you found us If you arrived through a link or campaign, we may record which one, so we know which promotion brought people to the app.
Technical information Basic device and operating system details needed to deliver audio and notifications correctly and to keep the service secure.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the app does not ask for tracking permission.

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, in the app's notification settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any email. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered your rights and use the least identifying data that achieves the purpose.
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
The app links to Spotify so you can save or follow the music there. Following that link takes you to Spotify, and what happens after that is governed by Spotify's own privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your Spotify account information.
Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK Addendum, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
We keep your account information and listening activity for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, apart from backups, which are overwritten within a further 90 days.
We keep records of purchases for six years, because UK tax and company law requires it.

You can delete your account yourself at any time in the app, under Profile → Delete account, or follow the instructions at https://animamusic.uk/account-deletion.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
The app is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and where the change is significant we will tell you in the app.
